What information is collected?

Nintendo owns several domain names and we will from time to time add new sites. Revocation and consent process and removal from Nintendo’s database

In addition you can request the deletion of all or part of your personal data from our database. This may lead to a termination of your account.

Safeguarding your personally identifiable information

Nintendo will only collect personally identifiable information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to perform the services provided through the Nintendo Website and to serve our legitimate business purposes, and Nintendo will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided. In addition, Nintendo will take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties to whom we transfer any data will provide sufficient protection of that personal information. Review and correction of information

After you provided personal information to Nintendo you can review, change or delete it by clicking here, or sending an email to privacypolicy@nintendo.co.uk. A request to delete your personal information may lead to a termination of your account

If you already own a Wii console or if you buy a Wii console in the future, and if you choose to take advantage of the Wii Network Services, you have the option to link your Club Nintendo account to your Wii Shop Channel account.

When opening a Wii Shop Channel account you can choose whether or not to link your Club Nintendo account to the Wii Shop Channel account. If you decide not to do so, you will nevertheless be able to enjoy all services and advantages of the Wii Network Services. But by linking your Wii Shop Channel account to the Club Nintendo account you can take advantage of several additional features.

  • You will be able to redeem your Stars to get Wii Points online (service dependent on availability)
  • You will be able to claim Stars for Virtual Console games you purchase (service dependent on availability)
  • You will be able to check your statistics from Wii games with online functionality (service dependent on availability)

By linking your Wii Shop Channel account to the Club Nintendo account you agree that Nintendo will collect information about the way you use your Wii and the Wii Network Services including information about the pages and Channels you visit, the products you are interested in and the games you play and/or download and the time you play; this information may be stored in Nintendo’s database to customize this website and the Wii Network Services for you, to provide individualized information about Nintendo or third-party products to you and for other Marketing Purposes.

You can de-link your Wii Shop Channel account and your Club Nintendo account any time. If you want to do so, just change the respective setting in your Wii Shop Channel menu.
