If you already own a Wii console or if you buy a Wii console in the future, and if you choose to take advantage of the Wii Network Services, you have the option to link your Club Nintendo account to your Wii Shop Channel account.
When opening a Wii Shop Channel account you can choose whether or not to link your Club Nintendo account to the Wii Shop Channel account. If you decide not to do so, you will nevertheless be able to enjoy all services and advantages of the Wii Network Services. But by linking your Wii Shop Channel account to the Club Nintendo account you can take advantage of several additional features.
